Trine Drama Club hosts auditions Sept. 4-5 for 'Undeniable Sound of Right Now'

ANGOLA (08/13/2018) — The Trine University Drama Club will hold open auditions at 7 p.m. Sept. 4-5 for its upcoming production of "The Undeniable Sound of Right Now."

Auditions will be held in Wells Theater inside Taylor Hall on the Trine campus. No prepared pieces are required for those participating.

The play, which includes four male and two female parts, will be performed at 7 p.m. Nov. 8-10 in Wells Theater.

Written by Laura Eason, "The Undeniable Sound of Right Now" debuted in April 2015 at the off-Broadway Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in New York City. Set in 1992, the play focuses on Hank, longtime owner of a legendary Chicago bar that has launched the careers of many rock bands, as he struggles against the rise of DJs and the rave culture. The conflict over the seismic shift in pop culture is paralleled by strains in the relationship between Hank and his daughter Lena.
