August Buehrer is soloist in fall concert

Trine University's Musical Theatre and Opera Ensemble will perform during the university's fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Musical Theatre and Opera Ensemble will present a Halloween-themed program, which will include "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, arranged by Ed Lojeski; "The Moon and Me" by Andrew Lippa; "Crazier than You" from "The Addams Family Musical"; "Something Just Broke" by Stephen Sondheim; "Everybody's Got the Right" from "Assassins"; "Poor Unfortunate Souls," from Disney's "The Little Mermaid," by Alan Menken; and "Little Shop of Horrors: A Choral Medley," by Alan Menken, arranged by Andy Beck.

The ensemble is directed by Ashlee Bickley, adjunct professor in the Department of Music, with piano accompaniment by Laura Dallman, also adjunct professor in the Department of Music.

August Buehrer of Angola will perform a solo during the ensemble's portion of the concert.
