Elyse Buehrer to be featured in spring concerts

Students in the Trine University Music Department will perform April 30 and May 1 in Ryan Concert Hall at the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

The Applied Studies Recital, which will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, features students who have taken private lessons in voice or an instrument.

During the recital, soprano Elyse Buehrer, a senior from Angola, will perform "Villanelle" and "L'ile inconnue" from "Les nuits d'ete" by Hector Berlioz. She will be accompanied by adjunct professor Laura Dallman on piano.

Buehrer will also be featured during the 7 p.m. Musical Theatre and Opera Ensemble performance. She will perform "A Change in Me" from "Beauty and the Beast" by Alan Menken, accompanied by Mark Kays on guitar and senior Joshua Marty of Clyde, Ohio, on drums.
