'Zookeeper's Wife' showing Thursday at Trine
ANGOLA (10/09/2017) — Trine University's annual Overlooked Film Festival is set to begin Thursday, Oct. 12, with a showing of "The Zookeeper's Wife."
The Overlooked Film Festival gives members of Trine's local community the opportunity to watch free films that were not released locally or that were generally "overlooked" at the time of their release. All films will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Fabiani Theater in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center.
Concessions will be sold outside of the theater prior to the showing by sisters of Phi Sigma sorority. Fabiani has a maximum capacity of 320 guests, so it's recommended that attendees with specific seating preferences arrive early.
Rated PG-13, "The Zookeeper's Wife" is based on a true story. The film is about two keepers of the Warsaw Zoo, Antonina and Jan Zabinski, who helped shelter and conceal hundreds of people and animals through the German invasion of Poland during World War II.
