Boo Cancer events help area girl

ANGOLA (10/25/2017) — Trine University's Gamma Phi Epsilon sorority is hosting two Boo Cancer philanthropy events this week to benefit a local 6-year-old who is battling cancer.

Hudson Bice, daughter of Dina and Kirk Bice, was diagnosed with cancer in April. She had surgery at Riley Hospital for Children in June to remove a kidney that had been overtaken by a tumor and another growth in her heart. She has been undergoing chemotherapy since the surgery.

The sorority is hosting a silent auction on the Boo Cancer - Gamma Phi Epsilon page on Facebook through 9 p.m. Friday. Items for auction include Trine University-themed cornhole boards, as well as gift certificates to area restaurants and gift packages.

On Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, Gamma Phi Epsilon and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity will team up for a haunted house at the Sigma Phi Epsilon house, 115 S. Darling St., Angola, from 7-10 p.m. each night. Cost is $4 for members of the community.

All proceeds from both events will go to benefit Bice. For more information, visit facebook.com/boocancergammaphi.
