Eighth annual Earth Fest coming April 27

ANGOLA (04/17/2019) — Trine University's S.P.E.A.K. for the Earth and Steuben County MS4 will present the eighth annual Earth Fest in Steuben County on April 27, from noon to 10 p.m.

Earth Fest is in its fourth year at Briali Winery, 102 W. S.R. 120, Fremont. This event is free to all community members and will feature green vendors, live music, food, kid's activities, presentation, and more!

Earth Fest's goal is to raise awareness about the importance of local, sustainable products and services in Angola and surrounding areas. The event recognizes and showcases the companies or organizations that go the extra mile to protect our environment and serve our community members.

Earth Fest is featuring more than 20 local businesses around the area including MS4, Foods Alive, Indiana Forest Alliance and Golden Green Soaps. Jeff Stant, executive director of the Indiana Forest Alliance, will address the crowd at 3:30 p.m. A taco truck and Caleo Café will offer food options throughout the day in addition to wine and beer options by LaOtto Brewing Company. There will also be live music from favorite, local bands. Children will be able to enjoy games, activities, and face paintings during the event.

According to Brandy DePriest, faculty advisor for S.P.E.A.K. for the Earth, "Our goal is to create an educational and entertaining experience for the whole family to enjoy while featuring the remarkable companies and organizations right here in Steuben County that are making a difference in the environment and the community."
