Event offers effective communication tips

ANGOLA (04/05/2018) — Area professionals will have the opportunity to learn effective communication strategies at an upcoming lunch and learn event hosted by the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation, the Enterprise Center and Trine University's Innovation One.

"Shazam! Getting Attention with Effective Communication" will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the Enterprise Center, 907 S. Wayne St., Angola.

The program is part of the Meet-N-Eat Skill Building Power Hour series hosted by Innovation One on the third Wednesday of each month. Each session includes lunch and professional development nuggets of knowledge, giving your stomach and mind something to chew on.

Presented by Nancy Steigmeyer and Jacqueline Delagrange, the session will cover positive communication strategies for creating an effective environment for coworkers as well as other professional and personal acquaintances.

The registration fee for the program is $40, which includes lunch. To register, visit trine.edu/innovation-one/professional-training/skill-building.aspx.
