New table allows Trine students advanced look at anatomy

ANGOLA (03/27/2019) — Trine University has purchased an Anatomage Table for use in a wide variety of courses on its main campus, including Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, Forensic Biology, Embryology and Animal Biology. The table allows students to view photorealistic anatomy created directly from real human cadavers.

"It gives our students the ability to see a human cadaver here on the main campus and be able to dissect the cadaver over and over again, helping them see structures that might not normally be seen," said Angela Bojrab, DPM, associate professor in Trine's Department of Science. "In addition, we will be able to upload our own images, including MRI and CT scans, which some of our students can use while working on various projects for class or personal research."

Classes will begin using the table this spring. In the fall, it will be moved to the new digital anatomy classroom in Best Hall 204.
