Second annual Trine Day coming April 11

ANGOLA (03/25/2019) — On Thursday, April 11, Trine University will celebrate its second annual Trine Day, inviting individuals to support the university with a charitable contribution and celebrate by dressing in their favorite Trine gear. Alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff will unite on one day, in one voice, to make an investment in the future of Trine.

Last year's Trine Day event raised $83,000 from 254 donors. This year's goal is $90,000 raised from at least 300 different donors.

Donors can designate 100 percent of their gift to any area they are passionate about at Trine, including undergraduate scholarships, sports teams and campus programs. Contributions also have the opportunity to make an even bigger impact than usual, thanks to generous supporters who will provide challenge funds:

Those who have never given to Tri-State or Trine will have their gift matched 3-to-1.

Parents making a gift on Trine Day will have a dollar-for-dollar match.

Gifts before 12 noon EDT on Trine Day will receive a 1-to-1 match.

All challenge gifts are matched while matching funds are available. Throughout the day, the university will update the progress of these challenges.

Those who donate $100 or more will receive a special pair of Trine University socks, while supplies last. Those on campus will have the opportunity to participate in games and activities in the University Center mall by making a donation on Trine Day.

Trine Day also provides the opportunity to show school spirit in addition to giving financial support. Those interested can become a Trine Day Ambassador by signing up and spreading the word with friends, family and social media networks. Supporters are encouraged to post about Trine Day across social media channels using the #TrineDay hashtag.
