Trine adds more LEGO robotics camps

ANGOLA (04/09/2019) — In response to demand for its LEGO robotics camps, Trine University has added more camps at more locations for this summer, including programming for children ages 6-8.

Trine will now host camps at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary School in Coldwater, Michigan. St. Charles Borromeo camps are available June 3-6 for ages 6-8 from 8 a.m. to noon, and for ages 9-11 from 1-5 p.m. Jefferson Elementary camps are available June 4-6 for ages 6-8 from 8 a.m. to noon, and for ages 9-11 from 1-5 p.m.

Openings remain at the following camps:

  • Parkside Elementary School, LaGrange, Indiana, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., June 18-21
  • McKenney-Harrison Elementary School, Auburn, Indiana, ages 6-8, 8 a.m. to noon, June 24-27
  • McKenney-Harrison Elementary School, Auburn, Indiana, ages 7-10, 1-5 p.m., June 24-27
  • Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, Fort Wayne, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., June 25-28
  • Trine University, Angola, ages 6-8, 8 a.m. to noon, July 15-17
  • Trine University, Angola, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., July 16-19
  • Trine University, Angola, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., July 23-26
  • Fremont Middle School, Fremont, Indiana, ages 6-8, 8 a.m. to noon, July 29 to Aug. 1
  • Fremont Middle School, Fremont, Indiana, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., July 29 to Aug. 1
  • Defiance Elementary School, Defiance, Ohio, ages 7-14, 1-5 p.m., July 30 to Aug. 2

Registration is available at trine.edu/innovation-one/youth-programs.

During the sessions, campers build and program different robots each day. The $120 fee also includes a T-shirt and daily snack and movement break.
