Trine chamber orchestra presents 'Folk Dances'

ANGOLA, Ind. (03/31/2025) — The Trine University Chamber Orchestra, directed by Music Department Director Brad Jopek, DMA, will hold its spring concert on Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. in the Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Titled "Folk Dances," the concert will feature:

Chamber orchestra members are:

Violin I: Keira Wilson, an exercise science major from Elkhart, Indiana; Mallory Wood, a psychology major from Goshen, Indiana; and community member Jonathan Rupp.

Violin II: Allayna Gue, an elementary education major from Portage, Indiana; John Hermann, a mechatronics and robotics engineering major from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; Sudeep Iyer, a chemical engineering major from India; Landon Murdock, a mechanical engineering major from Fort Wayne, Indiana; and community member Megan Knowlton.

Viola: Micaela Downs, a biology major from Westport, Indiana; and Makena Kretz, a forensic science major from Portage, Indiana.

Cello: Cheyanne O'Dell, a general studies major from Angola, Indiana; Hannah Slagle, a biology major from Powell, Ohio; and community members Rebecca Rupp and Richard Rupp.

Flute: Madysen Collins, a forensic science major from Kouts, Indiana; Mykah Garrison, a psychology major from Wauseon, Ohio; Holly Laney, a chemical engineering major from Butler, Indiana; and Abigail Schrock, a civil engineering major from Goshen, Indiana.

Clarinet: Alyssa Jones, a psychology major from Angola, Indiana.

Trumpet: Breanna Kennedy, a criminal justice major from Columbia City, Indiana; and community member Nick Treat.

Horn: Olivia Ward, a computer engineering major from Alexandria, Indiana; and community member Jessica Jopek.

Trombone: Reid Deneve, an exercise science major from Claypool, Indiana; TJ Marsalek, a biology major from Toledo, Ohio; and Ryan Sederstrom, an electrical engineering major from Cedar Lake, Indiana.

Tuba: Caden Daffron, a computer engineering major from Granger, Indiana; and Evan Holman, a civil engineering major from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Percussion: Ryan Hoak, a civil engineering major from Warsaw, Indiana; Evan Holman, a civil engineering major from Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Ryan Sederstrom, an electrical engineering major from Cedar Lake, Indiana.
