Trine Day tops $90,000 goal
ANGOLA (04/24/2019) — The second annual Trine Day celebration surpassed last years' total and reached its fundraising goal, bringing in $90,471 from 226 donors.
Throughout the 24 hours of April 11, alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff united to support the university with a charitable contribution and celebrate by dressing in their favorite Trine gear.
Carnival games in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center offered giving opportunities for faculty, staff and students. Participants were able to play putt-putt, cornhole, toss-across, chuck-a-duck and other activities while enjoying popcorn and winning raffle prizes.
"Trine Day is about showing our pride in the university, supporting remarkable campus programs and having fun. We are very proud that we reached our goal of raising $90,000 on Trine Day," said Steven Nicolet, director of annual giving. "Most importantly, we engaged the Trine community and advanced the mission of the university which provides big opportunities for our students."
Trine Day will return in April 2020.
