Trine Education Center returns to South Bend

SOUTH BEND (07/16/2018) — Trine University's South Bend Education Center is moving back to South Bend.

The Education Center, which had been located in Mishawaka since 2008, will now be at 3454 Douglas Road, Suite 300, in South Bend.

"The city of Mishawaka has been a wonderful home for our programs over these past several years, and we are grateful to that community for their support," said Ryan Dombkowski, Ph.D., dean of Trine's College of Graduate and Professional Studies. "This new location allows our operations to be more centralized in the region, and we are looking forward to better serving the communities of South Bend, Mishawaka, and the surrounding area."

The new South Bend Education Center location also provides a stable tenant for the building formerly occupied by Brown Mackie College, a for-profit institution that closed in 2016 after 12 years of operation.

"Trine University has been a proud part of the state of Indiana since 1884 with an education center in the South Bend area for more than 20 years, and we look forward to returning to South Bend and continuing to provide residents of this region with a quality, accredited education from a non-profit institution," said Dombkowski.

Trine University has served the South Bend area since 1997. Originally offering one undergraduate degree program, Trine's South Bend Education Center now provides multiple associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as Trine's new Ph.D. in entrepreneurial leadership, through the university's College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
