Trine joins program to expand study abroad opportunities

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (11/07/2017) — Trine University has joined a program to allow students more opportunities for study abroad experiences.

The university is now part of the Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) program, operated by Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Membership in the WINS program allows Trine students the opportunity to participate in study abroad experiences at Webster's international campuses and global partnership sites, which include:

  • Cha-Am/Bangkok, Thailand
  • Florence, Italy
  • Accra, Ghana
  • Geneva, Switzerland
  • Athens, Greece
  • Leiden, Netherlands
  • Vienna, Austria
  • Beijing, China
  • Brussels, Belgium
  • Guadalajara, Mexico
  • Oxford/London, England
  • Tokyo/Osaka, Japan
  • Oviedo, Spain
  • Trier, Germany

Trine already had offered students the opportunity to participate in programs at the Athens campus, and entered into a full partnership after Haseeb Kazi, Ph.D., director of study abroad at Trine, attended the WINS conference in Leiden this past summer.

The WINS program, established more than 15 years ago, creates partnerships between Webster University and U.S. universities to provide access to Webster's international campuses on four continents. The program allows full-time, degree-seeking students of affiliated U.S. universities to study abroad at one of Webster's international campus locations and allows for collaborative program development among partner institutions.
