Trine presents awards to faculty, staff

ANGOLA - (05/16/2017) — Trine University honored faculty and staff members with awards during its annual commencement breakfast on May 13.

Several faculty received the McKetta-Smith Excellence in Teaching Awards, established for the faculty by trustee emeritus and 1937 alumnus Dr. John J. McKetta in 1989:

The Faculty Scholarship Award was presented to Sarah Young, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Jannen School of Arts and Sciences. The Academic Service Award was presented to Max Baumgartner, Ph.D., dean of the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences.

Thomas Ruediger, DPT, associate professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Award. Outstanding Adjunct awards were presented to Adelle Schwan in the School of Professional Studies, Lou Ann Homan on the main campus and Von Plessner in the graduate school.

The President's Award for Excellence in Performance was given to staff members Nancy Roberts, assistant to the vice president for development, and Beth Tagtmeyer, student accounts manager.
