Trine's 2nd STEM Research and Design Symposium coming Friday

ANGOLA (12/03/2018) — Trine University will present its second annual STEM Research and Design Symposium from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

The event, featuring 43 student projects, will be held in Room 114 (Cast Metals Lab) and Room 115 (Plastics Lab), located on the first floor of the Jim and Joan Bock Center for Innovation and Biomedical Engineering. The more than 85 student researchers will be available to discuss their work during the entire two hours.

The Symposium is free and open to the public.

Student projects from the Bock Department of Biomedical Engineering, the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Exercise Science, the Department of Mathematics and the Doctor of Physical Therapy program will be featured at the Symposium. Projects range from departmental freshman and research projects to Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) and graduate-level research.

The event offers Trine students the opportunity to gain valuable experience presenting their work in a professional setting. Attendees will be able to vote to determine the winner of People's Choice awards. A panel of judges will select the winners of other top project awards.
