Trine welcomes first cohort to Montessori early childhood education program

ANGOLA, Ind. (06/11/2021) — The Center for Montessori Education at Trine University (CMETU) has launched its one-year Montessori early childhood education program.

The program began June 7 and ends June 3, 2022, with the academic phase running through July 30. Following that, students will enter the practicum phase - a nine-month student teaching experience, completing in June 2022.

Thirteen adult students are learning Montessori philosophy, practical life, sensory education, language, child development, math, social studies, science, learning differences (specialized training), positive discipline, special education, music, visual art and movement, with seven instructors each teaching in their own area of expertise.
