MIAA Chooses Hoag as Specialist of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - For the third time in the 2024 season, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) recognized junior midfielder Brooke Hoag of the Trine University women's lacrosse team as Athlete of the Week. It is the second time this year where Hoag has received Specialist of the Week honors from the conference.

NABC All-District Awards See Cortez Garland as Second Team Member
The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced Cortez Garland as a Second Team All-District player in District VII of NCAA Division III. The Detroit, Michigan native was also a Second Team All-Region selection by D3hoops.com earlier in the week.

To earn Vice President's List honors, an undergraduate student must be registered for 12 or more total semester credit hours, including graduate courses, with fewer than 12 credit hours at the undergraduate level. The student must have a semester combined undergraduate/graduate grade point average between 3.750 and 4.000, with the undergraduate semester grade point average not lower than 3.500.

Trine students begin work on new water system for Ecuadorian village
Since 2017, teams including members from Trine University's Engineers Without Borders (EWB) chapter have assessed the water needs of a remote Ecuadorian village and surveyed the area for additional sources. In March, work began on improvements to the village's water system.
