Trine's Gage Corner earned MIAA Football Player of the Week awards, the conference announced Nov. 9.

Trine University's sophomore Mark Wilson has been receiving tons of attention after his record-setting performance against Albion. He was recognized by MIAA Football Players of the Week for MIAA Offensive Player of the Week and D3Football.com as a member of the organization's Team of the Week. The honors are career firsts for Wilson.

Trine University's Paul Baker has been recognized as MIAA Football Players of the Week for MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week. This is Baker's first time in his career being honored as player of the week from the MIAA.

Trine University's Nick Lang was named to the All-MIAA Men's Soccer Second Team. He was among four midfielders named to the second team. The all-conference honor is the first of his career.

Trine's Mitchell Fair has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Nov. 2.

Trine's Mikayla Carpenter has been named to the All-MIAA Second Team, the conference announced Nov. 6.

Cody Knapp earned individual medalist honors as the Trine men's golf team tied for second in the final MIAA Jamboree round, held recently at Wuskowhan Players Club.

Connor Dwyer (Coldwater, Mich./Coldwater) finished the season with an All-MIAA First Team performance. Dwyer fired a 73 to tie for sixth in the final Jamboree round. The First Team honor was the first of his golf career at Trine. Dwyer medaled in two Jamboree rounds this fall and finished fifth in the conference in individual scoring. He was an All-MIAA Second Team performer last fall.

Trine University's Carly Searles (Levering/Petoskey High School) has been named the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III National Hitter of the Week. The Thunder softball center fielder was also recently interviewed by an ESPN reporter because she leads the nation in triples.

Area students who compete in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association sports at Trine University have been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. The MIAA Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who achieved a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the entire 2012-13 academic year while also earning a varsity letter in a sport. Initiated in 1990, the Academic Honor Roll recognizes students at MIAA member colleges who excel in athletics and academics.
