Student has enlightening summer in REU
Myles Cline, a senior at Trine University, joined professors Allan Guymon, Ed Gillan and Amanda Haes, specialists in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, and chemistry, for a nanoscience and nanotechnology REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) at the University of Iowa.

Trine student joins the front lines of cancer research
Trine University student Aaron Streit had the research opportunity of a lifetime over the summer. Aaron, a biomedical engineering major from New Paris, Indiana, researched methods to slow the spread of colorectal cancer under Dr. Michael DiPrima, a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as part of the NIH's Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program (BESIP).

Trine student assists in nanomolecule research
Many college students make big plans for the summer, but Trine University student Shayna Burrage's experience involved something very tiny. Burrage, a chemistry major from Auburn, participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) for 10 weeks at the University of Mississippi. While there, she worked on a project synthesizing Au38(SPh)24 nanomolecules.
