Students named to Trine University's Vice President's List
Trine University students were named to the Vice President's List for the Spring 2025 term. To earn Vice President's List honors, an undergraduate student must be registered for 12 or more total semester credit hours, including graduate courses, with fewer than 12 credit hours at the undergraduate level. The student must have a semester combined undergraduate/graduate grade point average between 3.750 and 4.000, with the undergraduate semester grade point average not lower than 3.500.

Trine teams compete at annual ASCE Symposium
Students and faculty from Trine University's Reiners Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering traveled to the University of Notre Dame for the annual American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Indiana-Kentucky Student Symposium, with two Trine teams finishing in the top three of their respective events.

Four Thunder Aces headed to championships
Four members of the Thunder Aces, Trine University's bridge club, will compete in the North American Bridge Championships, which will be held July 31-Aug. 2 in Philadelphia. Team members Treyton Sederstrom, a senior actuarial science major from Cedar Lake, Indiana; Isaac Braun, a junior chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana; Ryan Hoak, a senior civil engineering major from Warsaw, Indiana; and Ryan Sederstrom, a sophomore electrical engineering major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, will participate in the college team and college pairs matches. Ryan Hoak and Ryan Sederstrom each won travel expense packages from the American Contract Bridge League for three nights' lodging ($354), food ($200) and air transportation (up to $600). They won the packages by playing bridge online every day from March 15 through April 30.

Built to squeeze: Engineering seniors design, build pallet handling fix for Dexter Group
Taking the baton from last year's team, five Trine University mechanical engineering seniors renewed their partnership with Dexter Axle's Albion, Indiana, facility to complete a custom-built pallet squeezer-an industrial machine designed to realign heavy stacks of manufacturing pallets.

Thunder Aces 14th in online competition
Trine University' s bridge team, the Thunder Aces, competed Sunday, April 6, in the Collegiate Online Tournament. The Trine team, made up of Treyton Sederstrom, a senior actuarial science major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, Ryan Hoak, a senior civil engineering major from Warsaw, Indiana, Isaac Braun, a junior chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana, and Ryan Sederstrom, a sophomore electrical engineering major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, defeated teams from New York University and Carnegie-Mellon to finish 14th out of 32. The top five teams received their expenses paid to participate in the North American Bridge Championship in Philadelphia.
