Trine student assists in nanomolecule research
Many college students make big plans for the summer, but Trine University student Shayna Burrage's experience involved something very tiny. Burrage, a chemistry major from Auburn, participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) for 10 weeks at the University of Mississippi. While there, she worked on a project synthesizing Au38(SPh)24 nanomolecules.

Christie Hasbrouck (BSME 2016) received a Tau Beta Pi Graduate Fellowship to continue her education beyond her bachelor's degree. A total of 24 fellows were selected from 497 applicants to the engineering honor society. All Tau Beta Pi Fellowships are awarded on the competitive criteria of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession.
