Project by LLC, CSIT students to benefit incoming freshmen
A collaboration between the Franks School of Education Living Learning Community (LLC) and a senior design group from the Department of Informatics will provide a new resource for incoming Trine University freshmen making the adjustment to college life.

Students design device for manual therapy training
A collaboration between engineering students at Trine University's main campus and faculty and students from the university's Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne has resulted in a device that will assist training for Doctor of Physical Therapy students.

Exercise science students help test Olympic hopefuls
Eleven exercise science majors accompanied Shane Steele, DPT, chair and assistant professor of Trine's Department of Exercise Science, to the Next Olympic Hopeful, a talent transfer event held April 13 at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne. The group conducted field tests, analyzing about 20 athletes' movements and body mechanics to assess the effectiveness of their performance.

Air Force ROTC Commissioning
Members of the public are invited to the first commissioning ceremony for Air Force ROTC cadets to be held on the Trine University campus. The ceremony, conducted by officials from United States Air Force Command, will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts. Trine's two graduating Air Force ROTC cadets will be commissioned.

Trine's Bridge Club growing, becoming more competitive
Though often associated with older generations, Bridge is gaining a following on the Trine University campus. The university's Bridge Club, competing as the Thunder Aces, took part in the 2019 College Bridge Online Club Special Team Tournament on Feb. 17, sponsored by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL). The competition included 31 colleges and universities, with Trine winning five out of eight matches - defeating two teams from the University of Chicago and teams from Alabama, Vanderbilt and Cal Tech - and tying for 19th overall.
