Trine MPAS Class of 2021 receives stethoscopes
Trine University welcomed its second Master of Physician Assistant Studies class with a special ceremony at the university's Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne on Aug. 30. The 32 members of the university's Master of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2021 received stethoscopes from the MPAS faculty.

Trine DPT Class of 2022 receives white coats
Trine University welcomed its sixth Doctor of Physical Therapy class during a special ceremony at the university's Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne on Aug. 30. During the annual White Coat Ceremony, 33 members of the Trine University Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2022 received their white coats, symbolizing their transition from preclinical to clinical health science.

Trine student discovers opportunities studying abroad
Seeing different parts of the world and experiencing new cultures can open a person's mind to new possibilities as well as opportunities. Kacie Galloway, a junior exercise science major, had that opportunity when she studied abroad during the spring semester through the International Studies Abroad (ISA) program at Kingston University in Kingston, London.

O'Brien finds success in Michigan's Golden Gloves
While in the thick of projects and studies for the spring semester like many other Trine University students, junior Quinn O'Brien found the time to excel at another passion. O'Brien, a civil engineering major from Indianapolis, won the novice 178-pound division for Golden Gloves boxing in the state of Michigan.

A collaboration between engineering students at Trine University's main campus and faculty and students from the university's Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne has resulted in a device that will assist training for Doctor of Physical Therapy students.

Exercise science students help test Olympic hopefuls
Eleven exercise science majors accompanied Shane Steele, DPT, chair and assistant professor of Trine's Department of Exercise Science, to the Next Olympic Hopeful, a talent transfer event held April 13 at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne. The group conducted field tests, analyzing about 20 athletes' movements and body mechanics to assess the effectiveness of their performance.

Air Force ROTC Commissioning
Members of the public are invited to the first commissioning ceremony for Air Force ROTC cadets to be held on the Trine University campus. The ceremony, conducted by officials from United States Air Force Command, will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts. Trine's two graduating Air Force ROTC cadets will be commissioned.
