Tara Bieniewicz [Chesterfield, Mich. / Dakota] of the Trine University women's basketball team has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Athlete of the Week after her performance in a 77-52 win over Penn State-Behrend.

For the second year in a row, Trine University's student chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has received a first-place award in the student recruitment category from the national organization.

The Trine University men's cross country team brought home a third place team finish at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships on Friday.

Haldeman finished 14th with a career-best time of 23:13.6. Haldeman and Brittain, who placed 15th at 23:14.2, were members of the Second Team All-Conference. It is the sophomore Haldeman's first time being named All-Conference and Brittain now becomes a two-time All-MIAA titleholder.
