A pair of Trine University men's hockey team student-athletes have earned end of season honors from the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, the conference announced today, Thursday, March 3.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has named Trine University women's track and field student-athlete Valerie Obear [Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern] MIAA Field Athlete of the Week following her performance at the University of Indianapolis Team Invitational.

The Trine University women's track and field team sent several distance competitors to the Big Meet Friday at Grand Valley State University. Like the name indicates, the Big Meet is one of the largest indoor track and field competitions in the country, with competitors from 156 schools at all three levels of NCAA and other associations taking part.

Trine University students were named to the Vice President's List for the Fall 2021 term. To earn Vice President's List honors, an undergraduate student must be registered for 12 or more total semester credit hours, including graduate courses, with fewer than 12 credit hours at the undergraduate level. The student must have a semester combined undergraduate/graduate grade point average between 3.750 and 4.000, with the undergraduate semester grade point average not lower than 3.500.

The Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana (APAI) has named Trine University students Noah Ballard of Tipp City, Ohio, Jacob Barkey of Auburn, Indiana, Hannah Murray of Shelbyville, Indiana, Benjamin Stoffel of Andrews, Indiana, and Ryan Wisman of Bronson, Michigan, as 2021 APAI Scholars.

The Trine University women's bowling team captured its first conference championship in school history over the weekend at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) Championships. The Thunder scored the most points in the final points paying event of the 2021-22 season to claim victory for the team's first tournament victory as well.
